I offer birth mothers and their partners short term assistance designed to help you meet your childbirth goals.  My supportive services include:

Free Interview

Our connection is of utmost significance. Let's get together to see how we feel in each other's company. It is important that you feel comfortable in my presence.

Prenatal Care

During our prenatal visits, we will practice various relaxation techniques and comfort measures to determine which best suit you. We will discuss the upcoming birth of your baby, address any questions and concerns you may have, and prepare you to be an active participant in your child's birth. 

• Up to 2 home visits and unlimited phone availability

• Prenatal nutrition and exercise recommendations that may compliment your labor

• Information about your choices

• Labor and childbirth questions answered

• Birth Plan assistance

• 24-hour on call availability from 2 weeks before your due date

Labor & Delivery Support

I prefer to join you at your home as soon as you feel the need for my support. It is important for the birth mother to remain at home as long as she feels comfortable, as many women progress more comfortably and faster at home.

• Meet you at home and labor with you until it's time to go to the hospital

• Continuous, uninterrupted support during labor

• Relaxation techniques and comfort measures, such as breathing exercises, massage, visualization, use of a birth ball, and alternate positioning.

• Encouragement for both mother and birth partner

• Labor and childbirth questions answered

• Support in breastfeeding immediately postpartum

Postpartum Support

• One postpartum visit within 1 week after your baby's birthday

• Review the birth

• Answer any questions about the delivery or postpartum care

• Breastfeeding support

• Birth Story - including all of the details of your child's birth

• Unlimited resources and referrals

I am also available to attend prenatal visits with your care provider, childbirth classes and prenatal visits for an additional fee.

Fees and Payment

There is no fee for the initial interview. Installment arrangements can be made for payment of doula services.  A sliding scale is available for those whose circumstances require it.
